Babul wood has the innate capability to offer highly Mesoporos activated carbon. This high mesoporous activated carbon can adsorb molecules within the size range of 20-50 Nanometres.

Babul Wood Based powder activated carbon finds its major application in removing organic micropollutants and improving taste & odor in Municipal & Wastewater Treatment plants. High mesopore Powder Activated Carbon is also used for Decolorization in Edible Oils, Chemical Purification and for APIs in Pharmaceutical Industry.

Alkaline carbon manufactures wood based activated carbon in 2 primary forms i.e Powder & Granular. We can also offer acid washed products depending on the clients requirements.

Alkaline carbon manufactures wood based activated carbon from the wood of Babul (Acacia Nilotica) Trees. Babul wood is burnt in the absence of oxygen to prepare charcoal and then further used to make activated carbon in the kiln with the process of steam activation.

No, due to low hardness and high porosity wood based carbon is not feasible for reactivation based on the available reactivation technology. Who knows we might be able to in future.

Alkaline Carbon has certifications like ISO 9001:2015, Halal and Kosher. NSF 61 certifications is majorly preferred in North American countries and wood based activated carbon finds less application in the region so we can get NSF certified if a customer prefers it.
